A dragonborn name has three parts, and clan comes first — dragonborn value family and honor above the individual, so they state their clan name before their personal name. Clan names are ancient and imposing, like Clethtinthiallor, Daardendrian, or Kerrhylon.
After the clan comes the personal name, given at birth (Arjhan, Balasar, and Rhogar for men; Akra, Farideh, and Thava for women). Young dragonborn also earn a childhood name or nickname — a descriptive tag like "Shieldbiter" or "Leaper" — that they may keep or shed as they grow. When introducing themselves, a dragonborn leads with the clan they’re proud to represent.
