A character sheet keeps everything about your hero in one place. Start at the top with identity — name, race, class and level, background, and alignment. Fill in your six ability scores, then write the modifier (subtract 10, divide by 2, round down) in the circle below each one; those modifiers drive almost every roll you make.
The combat block holds Armor Class, initiative, speed, and hit points, plus your attacks. Mark the saving throws and skills you’re proficient in and add your proficiency bonus to them. Record your equipment and coins, then your character’s personality, features, and traits. Spellcasters use the second page for spells, slots, and their spell save DC.
