A warlock can be any race, so start from their people — but many warlocks lean into an ominous, arcane tone that hints at the pact fueling their power. A name with a darker or stranger edge tells the table something is different about this caster.
Some warlocks take a name granted by or tied to their patron: fiendish and harsh for an Archdevil, lilting and fey for an Archfey, or unsettling and alien for a Great Old One. Matching the name to the source of the pact is a great way to foreshadow your warlock’s story.
